CHS Art Students participated in the highly competitive Highland Community College Art Show on Thursday, April 26th with students from schools across the state including many from the Kansas City area.  The artwork and talent on display was incredible and we are so proud to share that our students were awarded 2 Awards of Excellence, 2 Honorable Mentions, and won 3rd Place in the Sidewalk Chalk competition!!

Our students also had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of workshops including a potter's wheel throwing, calligraphy, pastel self-portraits, miniature clay animal sculptures, team clay sculptures, button making, portrait photography lighting, and many more.  It was a great day of inspiration and learning, and we're very grateful for the chance to go!  What a great way to end our art show season!!  Photos of the day are attached and award winners are listed below.   Thank you again for your wonderful support of our students and our art program!
