CMS Students Raise Money for the American Heart Association
By Alisha Blackwood
Concordia’s CMS students had a chance to help saves lives this year. They raised $1,336.52 for the American Heart Association. Throughout the week of Feb 13-17 there were different incentives, daily dress up days, and activities held in the gym. One big incentive was to be the class that raised the most money and get a subway party donated by Subway. The winning class from 5th grade was Mrs. Rettter’s class and the winning class for 6th grade was Ms. Jackson’s class. Money raised from their Hoops for Heart event was sent to the American Heart Association for advanced research to help eliminate our countries number one killer, heart disease and number three killer, stroke.
Thank you to the CMS students and staff that donated money for such a great cause.
