Winter Sports Information

Concordia High School Student Council would like to announce the following plans and upcoming activities for the 2010 Winter Sports festivities.
The Queen Candidates for Winter Sports are Briana Anderson, Kacey Gumm, Megan LaBarge, Cassie Lowell, and Stephanie Shuler. The King Candidates are Brandon Anguish, Jarez Hinds, Adam Reedy, Kenton Kocher, and Michael Trost. Spirit Week activities begin Monday, February 1st and will include the traditional dress-up days and class competitions. Chosen for this year will be PJ Day on Monday, Urban vs. Rural Day on Tuesday, Hat Day on Wednesday, Zoo Day on Thursday, and Red Day on Friday.
There will be prizes given to the best-dressed for each day. There will also be the penny jar competition and the spirit stick given to the class who has the most participation throughout the week. Voting for the King and Queen will be Wednesday during advisory.
The introduction ceremony of the King and Queen Candidates will take place Thursday February 4th in the high school auditorium at 2:15. Following the introduction ceremony will be a pep rally in the varsity gym.
The crowning of the 2010 Winter Sports King and Queen will take place Thursday evening in between the jv and varsity wrestling matches which begin at 6:30. The Winter Sports dance will be Saturday evening from 9:30---12:00 pm. The cost to get into the dance will be four dollars per person. All high school students and their guests are welcome. Guest who are not students at CHS need to be signed up in the high school office.
