"Friendship Movie"

The CMS Friends of Rachel is a student group which promotes friendship and random acts of kindness. The group sponsors a "Friendship Movie" on one Friday of each month. This movie is after school in the cafeteria and is shown on a large screen. Students are encouraged to bring a drink/snack to school on the day of this movie and come with a friend or two. Behind the scenes, students in the Friends of Rachel group, target and invite students who don't usually attend extracurricular events in hopes of getting them involved and maybe even making a new friend while at the movie. This activity usually brings in about 30 students. When the movie is over, students clean the cafeteria and then wait patiently as names are drawn for a free prize give-away. The prizes are furnished by the CMS Home and School Association.
