Concordia FFA Wraps Up Successful Year
The Concordia FFA wrapped
up its 77th year with the Kansas State Career Development Events
(CDE) held in Manhattan earlier this week. Teams from Concordia
participated in Livestock Evaluation and the Farm Business
Management contest, having a repeat performance of 3rd place in the
state in Farm Business Management behind Paola and Salina Central.
Jacinda Dickinson was successful, placing first individual in the
contest scoring 210 points out of 250. Gavin Koester followed in
8th place with Rebecca Charbonneau and Erynn Cory both placing in
the top twenty.
Paige Charbonneau and Lauren Forshee participated in the State
Livestock Judging contest.
The State CDE brings to a close many other successes that the
Concordia FFA chapter members have achieved this year. Besides
placing high at the state contest, the following members
participated in their respective contests this year.
District Dairy Cattle Judging: Paige Charbonneau, BreAnna Foreman,
Lauren Forshee, Heath Ramsey, and Nathan Sicard.
District Livestock Judging Contest: Wyatt Barichalli, Paige
Charbonneau, Lauren Forshee and Jacinda Dickinson who placed
2nd.
The following Chapter Officers participated at the District
Leadership School:
Paige Charbonneau, Rebecca Charbonneau (Master Ritual Vice
President), Jacinda Dickinson, Lauren Forshee, Matthew Istas and
Heath Ramsey.
Hutchinson Aggie Days: the Farm Management team placed first with
team members Paige Charbonneau- 7th place, Rebecca Charbonneau-3rd
place, Erynn Cory-2nd place, and Jacinda Dickinson-1st place.
Participating in Livestock was Lauren Forshee, Paige Charbonneau,
and Jacinda Dickinson.
Cloud County Aggie Days: the Farm Management team placed first
again with Paige Charbonneau, Rebecca Charbonneau-7th, Erynn
Cory-4th, Gavin Koester-3rd, and Jacinda Dickinson-1st. This was
also our District Farm Management contest in which these members
placed first.
Besides participating in different CDE’s this year Jacinda
Dickinson and Rebecca Charbonneau will be receiving their State FFA
Degree on May 29th at the Kansas State FFA convention in
Manhattan.
