CES Playground Gets New Surface!
Concerns about the gravel fall-surface on the CES primary playground prompted USD 333 Superintendent Bev Mortimer to apply for a Waste Tire Grant. The grant was a matching opportunity for the district to replace the gravel with a coated recycled rubber mulch. During spring break the USD 333 maintenance crew, and Asst. Superintendent Karl Stricker made the switch. Primary students returned from spring break to find a new “springy” surface for their play time. The CES PIE group donated half of the matching funds, and USD 333 provided the remaining funds. THANKS to all who helped make this improvement for the students!
