Junior High Student Council Presents Lunch Lady Appreciation Day

On February 20, 2008, there was something strange happening in the kitchen at Concordia Junior/Senior High School. Junior High Student Council members took on a new role that day, becoming lunch ladies! Dressed in aprons and hairnets, the student council members helped the school nutrition staff prepare and serve the daily meal. Student council members stood side by side with the Lunch Ladies as they cooked hamburger, layered the tamale pie, washed potatoes, sliced vegetables, washed dishes, and even wiped down tables. Student council members created homemade aprons and had every student in the junior high sign them in honor of the school nutrition staff. This event was an eye-opening experience for the student council members and a great way to show appreciation for those ladies that work so hard feeding the students of our school district. Concordia Junior High Student Council members include: Connor Goedert, Lauren Forshee, Bianca Fischer, Halie Steinle, Skyler Muff, Gabe Bergmann, Siri McGuire, Joel Timme, Garet Koester, Joshua Pounds, and Mr. Bender (Advisor).
