CMS Students Compete In Geography Bee
February 01, 2008
January 10th, ten Concordia students participated in the 2008 Geography Bee. Kaleb Pounds was the runner-up and Leyli Beims became the school champion by correctly answering the question, "What is the term for melted rock under Earth's surface?" Beims will take a state qualifying test to determine the students that will compete at the state level. State level participants are determined by tabulating the test results. The students that have the top 100 scores will be invited to the state level bee. The bee will be held in Abilene, Kansas in late March. Approximately 350 schools around the state participate in the National Geographic Bee.
