February 01, 2008

Concordia Jr.-Sr. High Students Paige Champlin, Kevin Licharowicz, and Garrett Brummett have been selected to participate in the 2008 KMEA State Middle Level Honor Choir in Wichita on Friday Feb. 29, 2008. The State Middle Level Honor Choir is selected by audition for 7th, 8th and 9th Graders. Paige is a Freshman and the daughter of Robin and Teresa Champlin. Kevin is also a Freshman and the son of Angel Lohan and Larry Roth. Garrett is an 8th Grader and the son of Greg and Donna Brummett.
All 3 were chosen from an audition process that included over 800 students. The KMEA State Middle Level Honor Choir has a total of 160 students, 40 from each section, from all over the State of Kansas. “It is a great honor to be selected as part of the State Middle Level Honor Choir from the audition process. It means you are one of the top 40 singers in your voice part in the entire State of Kansas”, said their director Kevin Johnson.
