P.I.E Meeting Minutes
Monday, July 30, 2007
6:30pm City Park East Shelter House

Lana Stolzenburg, Patty Mosher, Dyan Barnes, Jeff Freed, Amy Freed, Tonya Hanson, Melinda Trecek and Mrs. Fall were present.

Playground is up and done. Mrs. Mortimer is writing a grant for recycled tire material for the ground cover around the playground. Mrs. Fall is writing a letter to the editor of the Blade Empire thanking PIE and everyone who helped put in the playground equipment. Mrs. Fall has the names of the volunteers for thank yous.

Read over job descriptions and clarified why there were two sets of job descriptions. The board developed one at the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year and Mrs. Fall did not receive a copy. The other set was an older copy of the job descriptions. Dyan or Tonya will condense the two.

It was agreed that meeting times should be at 6pm on the third Monday of the month. Tonya Hanson was elected Secretary, Melinda Trecek was elected to 2nd grade rep, and Jeff Freed was elected to Kindergarten rep.

Will need volunteers for enrollment. Melinda, Jeff, Tonya, and Dyan 4-8pm Lana and Patty off and on 12 –8pm.

Meet and Greet is set for August 17, 2007 from 10:30-1:30 pm.

Carnival date set for Monday, February 18th from 4:30-7pm. Soup Supper date is still unknown. Mrs. Fall will ask Mr. Stricker about Variety Show date.

Board decided on an ABC prize brochure for the Club’s Choice fundraiser. The fundraiser will run from August 23, 2007 to September 3, 2007. The order forms have to be in the company’s office on September 10, 2007. Delivery of products will be September 20, 2007. We will need 10 – 20 volunteers to help get the products delivered. Orders need to be turned into the teachers on September 4th. Board will have to meet September 4th thru September 6th to check orders and money. Orders will have to be mailed September 6th or September 7th. The board decided to stay with an Airwaves at $300 - $400 on May 20th or 21st, instead of a cash bonus if enough money is raised.

Next meeting will be Monday, August 20, 2007 at 6pm at the CES library.
