Our Mission is to provide the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life. During the years between birth and kindergarten there are important times when specific kinds of learning…language, sight, basic motor skills…must take place for your child to develop to the fullest. Parents As Teachers, a parent education and family support organization, can help you capture those windows of opportunity so your child starts school ready to succeed. It’s free for all parents and participation is voluntary. Our local Parents As Teachers program is sponsored by local school districts and the Learning Cooperative of North Central Kansas as well as the Kansas State Department of Education.
